Peacocks of Coronado

THIS BEAUTY IN HONOR OF Randy Gillespie, 44, of Coaldale, killed Monday, July 9 2007 in Herat, Afghanistan, 75 miles from the Iranian border. KT

Down in the lower left corner of the Coronado Neighborhood there is a unfamiliar sound in the mornings for a urban setting, but a familiar sound to those who live there. It is the wild peacocks that stroll the sidewalks and streets, bringing a distinctively unique essence. They are a real natural beauty. view the video to see how they adorn the homes and add a colorful sense of nature to the streetscapes.....

.

It is not until 8 years of age the the males begin to grow their 4 foot tail feathers .......lucky residents find these gems in their yards........

A excellent traffic calming solution and a delight for the children who encounter them from Emerson Elementary School and The Khalsa School nearby.

High speed cable 20MB
