Preserving the Past Protecting the Future
Much of the charm of the Coronado Neighborhood comes from the many historic properties located in the three Historic Districts within its boundaries: the Coronado Historic District, the Country Club Park Historic District and the Brentwood Historic District.
Historic Districts provide a peek into the past. Their historic character is protected by the City of Phoenix Historic Preservation (HP) overlay zoning, which prohibits thoughtless development or destruction. This protective zoning brings to residents of the Historic Districts both advantages and responsibilities.
What you need to know if you live in one of the Historic Districts is all right here. Whether you are considering remodeling, looking for financial help for historic preservation, or are just curious about historic preservation in general, the information and resources here will help get you started.
this information is a volunteer effort produced as part of the GCNA Heritage Grant.
It is designed to provide information and resources that may be helpful to residents
of Historic Districts and owners of historic properties
