Join your neighborhood discussion list that encourages the free flow of information with a positive neighborly communication atmosphere.

It is an excellent way for you to participate in the neighborhood, around your schedule and make time for those things that are of interest to you.  You don’t have to miss out on neighborhood happenings.

The CORONADO DISCUSSION LIST is a communication tool designed by the neighborhood, for the neighborhood, of the neighborhood.  It is self moderated. The mission of the "list" is to connect-in real time-our very own community via discussion and resources

You may post any topic you wish that you feel would be of interest to your neighbors.  Please acquaint yourself with the following information regarding the use of the CORONADO DISCUSSION LIST

The "listserve" is a way to immediately connect to a group of people that have all signed up to recieve the information posted immediately

you can sign up to recieve each post as it comes or all at once at the end of the week  by signing up for "digest form"

some topics include invitations to gatherings, lost/found pets, CNA information, public notices, info on recent crimes or suspicious people, political goings on, business info etc etc....There is no limit to what types of topics you may post.

The CORONADO DISCUSSION LIST may not be used for SPAM.

Sometimes the list is busy, sometimes it is slow.  Sometimes you may find the information interesting or relevant, sometimes you might find it boring and offensive.

The DELETE button is a great way for you to control what information it is you want to read or don't read

When you "REPLY to sender", it will only reply to the author of the post, when you "REPLY TO ALL, it will go to everyoe on the "List

additional information:

The address of the discussion list is central-phoenix-discuss@centralphoenix.org.

Please subscribe at http://www.centralphoenix.org/list (warning off- site location use browser back button to return) as mentioned above this is where you can specify how to receive communications, for example you can receive the discussion in it’s digest form, rather than in real-time.

the discussion list can be a bit busy at times, so if you do not want your e-mail box filled the suggestion is to sign up for digest form which comes once a week, or occasionally check the archives to see what is up. reading some of the archives can give you a sense of what level of participation is best suited for you.

If this is not the form or choice for communication than please consider participating in the bulletin board where posting are accessed as you wish and about topic that you choose. there are various ways of setting that up.

You can read the October 5, 2006 committee report, philosophy and conclusions about the guidelines, how it came to be.

Comments and suggestions can be sent to e-hood webmaster or if you would prefer to have a comment addressed on the list serve as a “whatever comment”.

Please make note of the disclaimer posted at the bottom of each posting:
